not talking the internet, I'm wondering why would you open security holes in gnome by running pekwm on top and loosing functionality, lol.

PekWM's only a windowmanager, like metacity or compiz. I see no difference in choosing a smaller, faster window manager with GNOME compared to any other windowmanager to work with GNOME.

I've done PekWM with Xfce as well.
